Stef's IC challenge today was "Home Sweet....". I'm not a native Missourian, but my home for the last 43 years has been Saint Louis, Missouri. So I consider it "home".
The eastern blue bird is the state bird and the hawthorne, the state flower. The Arch is the symbol of Saint Louis. Not very original, but Budweiser was sold to the Belgians last year so it is no longer "American". : (

That hawthorn is so pretty. It's just starting to come out here - I love it when the hedgerows turn all frothy white and pink. What punch did you use, it's so perfect for them.
The only reason I had to make Polished Stone for my shades of green was a distinct lack of green paper in my supplies. It's funny, it's so hard to get decent green wool, too, and I'd love to make a knitted garden some time.
