This is the card I made for today's inspiration challenge! We were to be inspired by this website. I chose this hat as my inspiration.
This is my story!
1. OMG! Okay, so I am like anyone else, I have been known to love a beautiful hat even though I don't wear them because let's face it, what am I gonna do, sit in my stamp room in a $42,000 designer hat??
2. Hey, when I was on the Dirty Dozen I even did a whole series of cards inspired by powerful women and their hats. So I just might be somewhat of an expert when it come to hat inspiration! Snort!
3. But in all my life, I have never seen goofier hats than in the Autumn/Winter section!!! Makes ya have a hankerin' for a hat, right?
4. My boss is a big time Pheasant hunter. He goes hunting a couple of times each year and honestly, if he and his buddies saw these women wearing these hats walking down the road in Kansas where they go hunting, they would probably shoot em!!! No kidding! Those are some goofy hats!
6. So no surprise......on the day before a holiday (Easter no less) I am making my bosses August 6th birthday card simply because he gave me these Pheasant feathers that belonged to some poor ole bird that he shot! Yikes!

Yes, you are ahead of the game......pun intended! Game birds belong outside, not shot, not on hats, not in meals prepared by Bobby Flay. I know your boss will LOVE receiving these feathers back, I only hope this doesn't become a back and forth kinda deal!! I love your card..the orange is great, certainly goes with the feathers, but where the heck is the RED? No red anywhere. What's the matter with you?? there should be at least red when the darn bird was shot, right? So where is the RED? I think you should take this card and add the RED, then reload it! Make sure all youi reload is the card, you goof!!!

I've been spotting this sitting pheasant ever since I opened the IC gallery - should have guessed this OTT fun creation would have been yours. All that autumn *grass* is brilliant - and is that the Christmas ornament punch hanging off one. An all-seasons card!

Wow. You hit the jackpot with this one. What a fabulous card for todays challenge. (Even if it is goofy) Phesant hunters indeed!! I'll just bet you were out at the crack of dawn plucking those tail feathers. Good grief, poor birdies, a bald bird butt isn't going to be too attractive--not to mention cold...

Oh my goodness, my boss goes pheasant hunting in Kansas too (and has likewise given us pheasant feathers) ... when he's not hunting, he's talking and dreaming about hunting ... such a fun inspired card.
