This is my submission for IC219... we took inspiration from the fabulous Etsy Store, Jennines. I was inspired in a general way by all the birds there.... there were great Chickadees that I used for my bird, since they are my favorite bird, but I also used this one because I loved the red berries: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php...ng_id=16044688
I used my new K&Co dp to decorate a Kraft Able Gable box I bought the template for from Leigh Anne at www.stampingwithannieb.blogspot.com. I wanted to make this box today for my hubby for Valenties Day. So it had to be masculine and not all foo-fooey! LOL! I sponged THoltz ink around all the edges and then stamped my Chickadee from Our Daily Bread design's new release, You Will Find Refuge. I cut it out along with the berry ladened branch he is on and mounted it to the side of the box, then added a tag on which I had printed a sentiment from Studio G.... must have stamped it 10 times and still didn't get a great impression... but what do you want for $1.00! LOL! Anyway, I cut a slit in the bird's beak and passed the red twine from Sharon's Ribbon Shop through and hung the heart charm from it. The top tag is hand written. Inside is filled with Lindt Truffles (dark chocolate)... yum! I know he'll love this since he is a bird lover too.
Thanks for looking and I will blog this shortly at:
