Hi! This card was made for today's Sketch Challenge.
I have to admit, I'm ready for Spring. NOT SUMMER, just Spring. You know, when the temperature doesn't rise over 62 degrees. When the bright green new shoots of grass start to appear in patches all over the back yard. When you look out and see a SWARM of Robins, thousands of them, screaming and flying around your neighbor's fruit trees. Yes, it's beginning to look a bit like Spring here in North Florida! Yesterday, our neighbor's front yard was COVERED in robins! His yard looked like the grass was MOVING...It was the ROBINS! Mark and I stood in our front yard and just gawked. I've never seen anything like that before. However, we weren't really thinking about how this phenomenon could affect us until....a car drove by and scared the flock...They flew right at us! We just STOOD there, stunned. What do birds do, after they eat and then fly in fright? Needless to say, Mark and I had to shower, and WASH the cars in our driveway... Again, if I had my camcorder, I would have won on America's Funniest Videos....
The images were stamped in Noir and sponged in with Nude and Orangerie. I added in Copic Dots on the butterfly and stamens. Highlights were added with an Inkssentials pen.

Great card Faith! I love your sponging abilities!!
I love your story about the robins! I have to admit I'm yearning for spring right now, but when I look outside all I see is snow and ice! Yuk! It was pretty when the snow first came down last week, but now there's exhaust, debris from trees, and footprints on it. Not so pretty anymore :-(

Wow! Great card! I love the color. Your robin story is amazing. I've never heard that before. If you like 62 degrees, you need to come to WI, I don't think it ever got warmer than that all summer. However, then you have to put up with 20 below 0 the rest of the year! LOL!
