Way cool challenge today, Textiles. I hope I did this right........
Today I actually saw the sun. It has been awhile. It felt good on my face even tho it made my eyes squint. Yikes, wrinkles as in more!
Apparently there where other things that saw the sun too. Like these Rubbernecker Sunflowers they just seemed to pop up in my yard. Then a rooster, from around the corner and down the block, came for a visit and brought some hens and tiny chicks with him. Must have smelled the fallen bird seed. DH will be happy. Those stinkin birds as he calls them, are pigs. They knock more bird seed out of the feeder than they eat! Hopefully this chicken family will clean up the mess. hehe ......the details....
Took a white cs panel, stamped and clear ep'd the sunflowers. Colored with copics, versa marked and clear ep. Masked off the top part, stamped itty bitty bg clear ep then sponged tea dye over top. Used a RR cloud stencil for the clouds. Before sponging them I put a circle down first for the "sun". Then reversed masked and sponged the sun.
Layerd this with brown and black cs then put it on a white card that I had put blue gingham on.
Dug through my stash of fabric, which is a plenty. I use to sew a lot of appliques so my choices were many. Plus I always seem to over buy when I really get into a particular craft. You should see all my stamps. My bad.
Wildly cut out the rooster and hens and chicks put on a piece of white cs that I had ran through the xyron. Then I cut them closer. Put them on my scene popping up some.
Added two MS gingham bows because I couldn't decide which one looked better.....Well, hope you like this, ALL comments appreciated!....TFL :0)
Hi Sis! They never took me away! LOL
P.S. The story about the sunflowers and chickens is fiction. DH calling the birds pigs, true.
