...and I can't get up. How horrible. My cards are becoming true to life. Yesterday, I needed the snorkel to work outside in the heavy rains. Today, I started this card before work and at my second pool I took a spill. That's right I went down.......hard. Fortunately I didn't break anything. I did scream out loud as I was falling. Thankfully only the customer's dog saw me. She came to my rescue and gave me a sloppy kiss. I am going to be pretty sore tomorrow. I can feel it starting now. I hate getting old!!!!........the card.......
Like I mentioned, I stamped my fallen skier, clear ep. Colored with re-inkers and acrylic paints. Cut out and set aside.
For the bg, on w/c paper I tried my hand at water coloring. I didn't draw first, I just painted. I definitely need a lot more practice at this. I only painted the mountains and sun. The trees are from Rubbernecker Stamps . After stamping I took a wet brush and re-inkers to go over them. When dry, I stamped the snow dots from Rubbernecker.
Stamped the pine sprig, which is also from Rubbernecker Stamps on the side for depth.
Cut out a frame of brown cs. Put dots on with a versa mark pen, white ep them. Put the frame over the scene panel then put this on a white card. Popped up the fallen snowman skier. At least he had soft snow for his fall, I fell on a railroad tye, hitting my head and hurting an already sore knee. Yikes!
Well, hope you like my scene today......TFL :0)

Great card! Love the snowman! So sorry about your fall - the homeopathic remedy Arnica Montana is great for bruising and sore muscles.

So sorry to hear you fell. I hope you'll be on the mend soon. Your card is so stinkin cute - reminds me of when DH and I took ski lessons one year (a VERY long time ago). I didn't know they made a stamp of my experience on the bunny slope! Thanks for the memory!!!

Since your life seems to refect how you have already imagined the start of your card, why don't you do a card with your sister just about to purchase a power ball ticket. I promise if I win to take care of you so you never have to clean another pool!!! How is that for inspiration. Your card is awesome. your coloring is perfect and you have always been great at cutting out images...some so small I couldn't believe you could do it. Love the snowball frame. great card. sorry you took a spill. Get to bed early, do the things your SCS friends have told you to do!!! We all need you!! tfs, sis.
hugs,

Ouch, Mutnik, take care of yourself. Had to laugh at the visual picture of a snorkel, but a fall is no fun at all. Your snowman reminds me - I met my BF for coffee after the doctor yesterday - in our rare snow after Christmas, she was all set to take a run with her mother's old skis. But old being the operative word, they had no quick release, and she decided to be sensible and leave them in the cupboard. Just as well - she's still bruised from rescuing a niece from falling on the skating rink and didn't need to add a twisted ankle to her woes
! I could see the lovely colour of those mountains as soon as I opened the gallery this morning.
Give yourself a bit of pampering this weekend - into that outdoor spa with yourself.

Love your snowman image and your awesome card. The sun must be about to set on those mountains - I can just imagine what a lovely sunset it is to make those mountains all purdy and pink like that! Hope the little fella can collect his wits and get outta there before it's dark. Wonderful creation - hope you aren't too banged up from your fall!
