Today is my 13th Wedding Anniversary! Could you believe we almost forgot about it...I guess all the fuss with playing with the kids and shoveling the snow got in the way! We remembered at dinner time! Oops!
OMG! We got tons of snow on Christmas Eve, about 14 inches. That is so not like Oklahoma to get that much, if any. On Christmas Day, we all built snowman, well. I built a snowwoman. I wish I could show you it...I put my cowboy hat on, red mittens that were held on with candy canes, berries for eyes, added my reading glasses to the face, an orange tube for the nose, red bandana for the scarf, and a sheriff badge on her chest. We called it the Meet the new Sheriff! Anyhow, the boys and I had fun creating in the snow while my husband shoveled. Then afterwards, my boys went to shovel the old ladies driveway and had hot cocoa with them. Wasn't that sweet of them?
The Featured Stamper tonight is SmilynStef...she has an awesome gallery and she makes me smile all the time when she puts the IC out every week. I really wanted to case a "sister" one but misplace my sister stamps. I chose this simple snowman card here. Got Snow? by SmilynStef at Splitcoaststampers. Since we have gotten to build snowman, I wanted to create one on a card.
I started with blue textured paper that had the white core and ran it through my CB Snowflake folder. I took sandpaper and sanded the snowflakes to make them turn white. I also took my scissors and scraped the edges on the card. I stamped the snowman using a Michaels $1 stamp with Black Stazon and colored it with a colored pencil. I then mounted it. I embossed the button snowflake I had and added a little glitter to it. I used hot glue to secure the button to the card. I also sprinkled a tiny bit of glitter all over the card. I wanted to make a simple card tonight because I am worn out by playing in the snow most of the day! This was very easy to do. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! Have a wonderful Sunday!
Bonnie
Things I changed:
1. omitted the strip down the middle of card
2. did the opposite of the same color (blue on white)
3. image
4. left off sentiment
5. added button
I just noticed, I forgot to put liquid applique on the bottom for snow. I'll put it on after I upload this, sorry!

What a cute, cute card and I love the sanded snowflakes. I'm glad you didn't wake up tomorrow and remember your anniversary was today. Everyone is so busy right now, I can see why you could almost forget. I love your adorable CASE. Snowmen are one of my favorite things.
