Like me, my mice are not really party people. They'd be in the kitchen helping out, but Peggy says Mama Teeny has catered so well that there's no help needed. Like me, my mice don't really dance - the last time I did any dancing much was when I was in Irish College one summer... Like me, my mice bring their handiwork where they go - I had my knitting along with me last night. Hey Peggy - what's the French for cardigan? I couldn't think?
Check out the darling inspiration for the MMTPT73 tea-party hosted by Peggy this week. I thought that squirrels or chipmunks would still class as rodents and be a step up from mice (my dad, after a summer free from them, has admitted that they are back. Hopefully this time he won't feed them!!). But - I received a lovely little silver thimble in the post last week, so what better than these mice to say thank-you. I have seated them in Peggy's beautifully decorated underground hall where we are partying this week.
A2 base, matt gold card. The hall is decorated with paper from an old K&Co Christmas pad. I stamped the mice on the DP and twice on white card. Coloured with watercolour pencils, cut out and layered. I cut out an extra piece of paper to cover the original Have a Mice Day sentiment and wrote thanks, instead. Added some embroidery floss in the needle and tucked it behind the card. Fished out some spare embossed photo corners and prettied them up with a bit of Stickles...
Thank you Peggy for having us this week. I think I'll pass on your liqueur, though, and stick with the Baileys which I got on special offer last week!

Oh, there are so many creative ideas here! This is such a cute image, and you have really personalized it.
I am saving this for a great idea for a card for DD who does very fine cross stitching, hardanger, and quilting,

Awww Sabrina, you know I love house mouse, but when it comes to Penny Black...I'm a goner. Aren't those the cutest ones. So glad you could come and share some sewing with your little friends. Tell your dad to send his "friends" over to our party. You are right, this is my favourite place in Mama Teeny's house. See, tonight when the party unwinds and people have had all the food, dance and special "liqueur" all worn out of them, they will slowly go home. ( I hope...lol) Then, if you like it, I can join you and have a litttle Bailey's before I call it a night.
As for the Cardigan, did some quick search and found that Lord Cardigan had invented it in 1922 or so...don't know if that's acurate, because it is also a deformation of the gaelic word for the ancient kingdom of Ceridigion. Wow, I learned something new, hope this helps sweet friend. And if you want to buy one, here is a link to a store with alot of "veste", "gilet" and even a "doudoune". Now please don't ask me what a doudoune is...lol!

How cute is this image. They look like well behaved mice who certainly know how to decorate! I hope you are sharing some of that Bailey's. It is always my drink of choice on international flights. Not only is it delicious but free lol.
