NOTE: You may get lost here if you have not attended this Mothermark Tea Party hosted by LilLuvsStampin: http://wheremmsgather.blogspot.com/2...challenge.html AND it would help to have good knowledge of country music – you know – CULTURE!
Well you all know the sad, sad story of Dusty the Teddy Bear.
ItÂ’s a mighty sad story of love lost and despair
BUT Now thereÂ’s a new gal in town and DustyÂ’s all grown up SO BEWARE!
Bertie found Dusty all alone in an old attic
Now that’s an old history – just static!
Together they have fixed all the wrongs
and now theyÂ’re singinÂ’ some new old songs.
Dusty greeted Bertie with some love songs: Some girls like bears like me and some girls donÂ’t, and
Girl youÂ’ve never known on bear like me
Up there in your high society (you know – the tea parties)
They might tell you IÂ’m no good
Girl they need to understand
Just who I am
I may be real bad toy, but baby IÂ’m a real good bear.
Bertie responded with song too! Mothermark he’s crazy – crazy over me and in my arms is where he says he always wants to be!
Daphne showed up singinÂ’
If I told you that I realized you're all I ever wanted
And it's killin' me to be so far away.
Would you tell me that you loved me too and would we cry together?
Or would you simply laugh at me and say:
"I told you so, oh I told you so
Dusty responded with: YouÂ’ve been too gone for too long itÂ’s too late to come back now
And HereÂ’s a Quarter Call Someone who caresÂ…
Now with attic dust in their har (thatÂ’s hair to you non-country folk)
And stuffinÂ’ cominÂ’ out here and thar
They are riding off to Michigan singinÂ’
We could get lost baby I don't care
I ain't worried as long as you're there
There ain't no place that I'd rather be
Next to you, sittin' next to me
There ainÂ’t no place that IÂ’d rather be
Next to you, next to me.
Preferrably at the Mothermark Tea!
All the tea partiers sang the chorus:
God is Great
Tea is good
And teapartiers are crazy!
So if Bertie aka Charlene is married I guess we will need a cheatin' song!

Furious scribbling, LOL. Love it! So glad you sent the PM, I was out from 8 in the morning till quarter to midnight, so the PC never even went on yesterday. I'd almost ask DH to set this to music .
What a totally cute lapel pin. But truly, I am not sure there's anything faux about either the card or the song.

Awesome song. You know how it goes with those talented country singers and song writers. They start their award acceptance speechs and crazy people come and interupt them and say that they really liked Beyonce`. Well today, I'll stand guard on stage as you go get your tea party songwriter of the year award and I won't let no one, especially Bertie come and interupt you.

I'm not in the loop about the story Brat, but your story was an amazing one!!! And, your card certainly matches your amazing story. My gosh girl, this is fabulous! And, for a masculine card that's saying a lot, right? LOVE the horse charm, your twine, embossing, image, coloring and distressing. You did a really fantastic job here!! TFS!!
