Welcome back, Julia! love the pleated ribbon idea, I actually have some on my counter I'm trying to figure out how to pleat, it really skinny. But that's an sidetrack...for my card today I used a beautiful two tone wired edge ribbon and finger pleated it and purposed it as a roman shade in my room. This card is for two challenges, the 365 Card Blog is to make an indoor scene and of course the WT.
I used the B Line Designs 'Rendre Belle' and Tim Holtz chandelier. The Happy Birthday sentiment on the floor is from Anna Griffin's clear stamps. It was inked in Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored Belle's skin and pumps with Copics. The rest was stamped in VersaColor Black and embossed.
Thanks for having a peek inside my room today. I appreciate your comments...

Just how did you get that picture of me? Looks like I'm about to step on the bathroom scale. I didn't see you sneaking around with your camera. It's adorable. What a creative mind.

This is just super Susan! I love your 3 sided framing and your wonderful pleated shade - this vintage lady is just so cute primping in front of her dressing table!

Now this is a beautiful "girly" card! Love that image! I don't know how in the heck you got the ribbon pleated so perfectly. I would have had a big wadded up mess and then tossed it.

Now that I'm into the 80's (you know what I mean), I felt I needed to get over on this side of the gallery to see what my little friend has been doing! yikes, make no mistake here, I see your creativity has waned a bit! I so love that you used one of your favorite images ... that chandelier ... on the edge of your card. Speaking of ... on the edge... that's just what this fabulous 20's roaring card is all about, girl! You took a concept and really went with it all the way. This is really a neat card with a touch of ... oh, what's the word I'm looking for? influenza... no, of course it's not that word, but I'm thinking it has a sort of suggestive side if you will. No, silly girl, not suggestive the way your mind thinks, but rather a wonderful take on the selfcentered and nostalgic days of years gone by. Yes, I think that sums it up rather nicely, dont you?

Hey girl, remember that comment I made many months ago: Well, I'm playing by my own rules: I'm doing my best to maintain that life balance that eluded me with these everyday challenges. Now, I find, when I need to just chillax, I go to the stamps! Finally, a perfect balance for me. And You? are you pretty much doing the same?
