Slow and steady wins the race. All my catch-phrases are wrong - obviously this is a snail, not a tortoise. A snail in the grass, not a snake in the grass...
Even from the sneak preview, I had this little snail in mind for Cindy's tea-party today. I didn't realise we were going to France or Italy though. Hey Cindy, did you forget that they eat snails there?
We have French friends in Brittany. Pierre remembers the Tour coming through when he was a child, and the excitement of it all. I've seen some of the mountain stages, and I would NOT like to cycle them. They were pretty hair-raising in a car.
Where it looks bent at the top of my card is some more snail slime AKA Brilliance Platinum, with which I swiped the edges. I don't use it too much, and it's still way too juicy. But it's not bent, oh no - no rowdiness allowed at Cindy's ladylike parties.
The base is A2 covered in some neutral paper. The embossed layer is ultra heavy watercolour paper (at least 200lb, maybe more) which I sprayed with water first to help it emboss. Believe me, I've tried hand-embossing this stuff! I very lightly touched the grass and bird up with H2Os for minimal contrast. The snail was stamped twice on lighter watercolour paper (I want to keep the feeling in my hands, thank-you), and his shell was embossed with Versamark and clear EP, then popped up. I added Brilliance Platinum all round the edges and a Stickles trail along the bottom.

Love the big eyes on your little snail! Good thing the bird is looking the other way, or the snail might be lunch! Cute card!

As I just said to APandi, let's not call it SLIME, SABRINA WHERE are your TPT manners?! It's should be called "snail sparkle" or in your case "brilliant snail sparkle"...much more lady-like for a fancy tea party, hee! And I hope that bird isn't hungry, because that little snail is too cute to become his lunch...so cute, Sabrina!

Well, good golly, girl! You nailed it! What a fantastic tone on tone snail panel. Your snail trail is awesomely creative and effective, too! That little guy looks like a deer in headlights. Probably is the same to him as he faces the peloton! Great card! PS- the stitched dp is pretty awesome, too!

I love your eye for detail. The slime on the edges is perfection! And the hint of color to the embossed image is brilliant. I see we share the same snail. Love how you shined up his shell. Great card!
