I have had a piece of cardboard off a box just sitting on my desk waiting to be used or tossed by DH. So imagine my delight when I saw the challenge for today. To use this piece of cardboard! How cool is that........here's what I did.........
I chose to stamp a new image from Clear Dollar Stamps directly onto the cardboard. I colored this wonderful image with copics and white acrylic paint. Cut the square painting out.
On a piece of white cs, I scored the frame around my picture, then continued the scene outside of the frame.
Everything was going good until I colored the frame. Not quite happy with how it looks but, oh well. Too late now. Colored the scene outside of the frame.
Put this on a white card sponged black. Then put my cardboard painting on top and inside the ugly frame. Well, there you have it. So glad DH didn't toss this piece of cardboard out. It came in handy for today! I tell him "I can use that for a card!" all the time, but he usually doesn't listen and tosses good materials away! .....men........TFL :0)

I love the picture inside a picture. Awesome creativitiy. I agree with you about men. I had to hide my cardboard after my husband asked about my pile. I didn't trust that it would be there.

Okay. So what do we have here today, Nutmeg? Hmmm let me see if I can get this right: A picture inside a picture. Is that what I'm looking at? Whatever. As long as I get to sit on your swing, I'll be a happy camper. Oh my, I see you unleased your harnassed creativity today in a major way. Good for you. This brings a whole new dimension to Nutmeg's talents. This is a good thing. The reason I sometimes leave you messages on your comments area is because I want to boost your ratings. It's kinda like cheating ... and we all know I do a stellar job with that!

Cathy, I just love that image, so beautifully colored! I've always wanted a house with a wrap-around porch and a porch swing, so this just sings to me! (3 houses later, I still don't have my wrap-around porch or a swing ... can I swing on yours?)

I just love this set, mine is in the mail as we speak, just had to order it. I love that you colored on the cardboard. And I esp love that you left a little to show through. This is so awesome Cath. Wow.
