I learned how to make a quilt pattern with the top note die at my last stamp club class. It doesn't look so much like a quilt because I got a little OCD and thought like colors should line up when, in fact, a quilt doesn't usually work that way. Oh well, it's still a quilt to me! LOL!
I used the Bella Bleu DSP (one of my favorites for sure# for my quilt pattern using the top note die. You just punch twelve 1-1/4 squares from your dsp and glue them side by side in whatever pattern you want on a piece of white card stock measuring 3-3/4 x 5 - then you run it through your CB with the top note die cut. You can make all kinds of really neat patterns with it.
To add to the text theme, I used the script ef over the top note die cut, although it may be hard to see in the photo, and I used the En Francais B/G stamp on the Not Quite Navy Card Stock behind it. Then, I embossed in white "Merci" to go with my French theme! Boy, do I have it together or what - NOT!!! LOL!
I actually made this card first and then accidentally found that it looked really good with just the Not Quite Navy with the embossed b/g and the embosslit flower which I posted just before this.
I added pearls, the simple flower embosslit, a specialty button from Joannes #made in Spain-hope that doesn't mess up my French theme - don't tell anyone okay?# and a ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by to look. Let me know what you think if you have the time. Have a great evening!

Girl, what are you talking about, it does not look like a quilt? Not every quilt is little tiny squares lined up. I think it is GORGEOUS!!!!! You are too much, my friend

Oooh, I'm not sure which card I like more! I love the quilt on here--I actually think the color blocking works wonderfully with this sophisticated paper! Great job on both!
