WOW! It's been awhile since I last made a card and I involved this card with 2 challenges. I decided I that I would take a break from stamping for the month of May due to the sickness in our family. All is well now.
Todays, Ways to Use it Challenge was to create a card using the same stamp several times. I also didn't get to play in the FS for Joan Ervin on Sunday, so I played last night and here is the card I cased. LSC 186 Bee-Witching by joan ervin at Splitcoaststampers.
Here is my story:
Our theme for our local card swap that I am in was called Just Because. When I first thought of that...bees came to my mind. I started out by sponging with yellow ink onto the top note c/s. Next, I stamped several tiny bees with masking for the background dots as well with black ink. I went over the dotted lines with a black pen. I used the cb swiss dots emboss folder onto the yellow c/s and used the corner rounder. I also colored the bees with fine point markers. I added the ribbon before adhering the top note to the card with foam tape. I stamped the bigger bee onto a scallop circle onto white c/s and sponged with yellow ink as well and mounted it onto a black scallop circle. I added white dots around the edges of the black scallop circle and the base of the card with the white signa pen. I stamped the bigger bee again with black ink and colored just the yellow lines of the bee/face. I used clear emboss powder and cut out. I kept cutting the antennas, so I just left them off once I mounted it onto the stamped bee on the scallop. Does it still look ok? I added ms fine white glitter to the wings and added googlie eyes. The bee is held on with foam tape. The sentiment is from the computer, trimmed, and place underneath the bottom part of the bee. I made 5 of these, but I made these the last minute when I should of made them earlier in the month. They were due today. But I couldn't stamp being sick. Thanks for the challenges and have a Bee-tiful day!
Your comments are always appreciated! So, sorry for the long post.
Things I changed for the FS: cuttlebug folder, scallop circles, corners, layout.
