I am elated to be a part of the Top 6 for the My Favorite Things Stamping Idol. Our challenge this week was to make a one layer card.
I stamped the astronaut image from the My Favorite Things set Ben Paper Dolls with Colorbox black pigment ink onto black cardstock. I then added black embossing powder and heat embossed this image. I took a Versamark marker and drew the horizon/moon line on the card, and used black embossing powder to heat emboss the line. At this point, I took a Brilliance Moonlight white pigment pad and smeared the ink directly onto the black cardstock to create the moon. I used Prismacolor pencils to create the astronaut's shadow and a few moon craters. I painted the astronaut with Brilliance Moonlight reinker. I colored the shoes, glove and part of the mask with Prismacolor pencils, and used a Sakura glitter pen for a little bit of sparkle on the mask and the astronaut's patches. The stars and the doodle bordering were made with a white gel pen.

I keep meaning to come read your description... I think it's awesome that you just "made" the moon with an inkpad. Very cool. But my favorite part of the whole card is the shadow. It adds so much. Great great job!
