It has been a very busy week for me to keep up with the challenges. I taught my 1st stamp class and showed them 3 techniques. Lots of fun. Rested the next day. Today I take my son to the doctor to see about his wrist. One thing I learned from this experience with my son is, take your child to the doctor to find out why his wrist is really bothering him after the fall he did last week. Don't wait too long, before its too late. It turns out he has a fracture in his wrist according to Urgent Care. We are going to the regular doctor later on today. Bless his heart!
Anyway, since I have been doing several of these techniques in the resources, I came across the dryer sheet. Todays Ways to use it challenge, we were to use any type of foil in our cards. I used it on the hat.
I started out with blue c/s and with dryer sheet. I used spray adhesive on it and laid it on the card. I used my heat gun to set a few seconds. I trimmed off excess. I stamped snowflakes onto the dryer sheet with bliss blue ink. I had used some silver glitter on some of the snowflakes. I set the eyelets in to where they would end up upside down to get the snowflake appeal. I took a strip of bliss blue c/s, 2-way glue around the edge, and added silver glitter.
The snowman:
I had these vellum tags, so I decided to take the vellum out of the tags and use them for the snowmans body. I used my piercing tool on each side of the ring to insert a tiny piece of wire to hold together. I took some wire and twisted it to give him hands and trimmed off the extra. I added 3 brads for his buttons. I cut a piece of foil, folded it, and tacked it on with tacky tape. I added a piece of metallic blue ribbon for the scarf and his eyes with hot glue. The wire came from a picture hanging kit. Its used for hanging large pictures. It is very easy to use and its very thin. I think this came out cute. Do you think it needs anything else? Even though, its Spring here, it sure doesnt feel like it. TFL! Comments are always welcome! Have a wonderful day!
What do you think?

What a fun snowman card. Just adorable! Hope your sons wrist heals quickly. Our son broke his wrist when he was 6 and actually hid it from us all day long! He played video games all day. How we will never know. They actually had to rebreak his but all turned out well as I am sure will your sons. Hugs!
