Hi! This card was made for today's Color Combination Challenge: Pretty In Pink, Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze.
Now, I have to admit, this color combo had me stumped. Markie woke up VERY early, and walked out to the livingroom to find me reading, NOT stamping in my stampin' room. He asked, "Hey, Mom! Are you sick? Why aren't you stamping?" I told him I lost my mojo, and I had assumed the "Bon Bon eatin' position!" Markie giggled and asked the color combo. I told him...He sighed and said, "When in doubt, do the iris! You could make it blue and pink!" Well, I took his advice. It is NOT a pretty flower! LOL! So, while Markie ate breakfast, I searched my "weird, but doable" bin and found these fabric covered button brads! They are a PERFECT match for Baja Breeze!!! Then, I remade the flower in Pink!
The image was stamped on watercolor paper in VersaMark and embossed in Gold. (I stamped two images so that I could cut out the "beard" and layer it later!) I colored in the flower with a Pretty In Pink Marker. Next, I used Pretty In Pink re-inker to get a more intense color for the shadowing! I used Kiwi Kiss re-inker for the leaves and stem.
The background was stamped in VersaMark and embossed in gold.
