Lots and lots of glitter! Glitter is my friend. The more the better :-)
I adhered a sticky sheet to whisp wht CS then used my craft blade to score squares in the backing paper. Took random squares off and added glitter, repeated with various colors. I kept most of the area under the butterfly layer free of glitter so as not to waste it.
The butterflies i stamped tone on tone then added dazzling diamonds.

That is simply wonderful, and something I will try so thanks for sharing how you did it. But I will save it for a day just before I need to vacuum the floor, I think.

Oh My Giddy Aunt - this is spectacular!!!! I thought I LOVED glitter, but this takes it to a new height!!!! Absolutely LOVE this and have added it to my favourites to try for myself one day!!!
