This is my card for the limited supplies challenge. It's been a long since I've played the limited supplies challenge, but when I saw today's, I knew I wanted to participate. I use black on my cards probably as much as I do white. I love the pop it gives to other colors.
I've had this completed card sitting on my desk for a couple of months - something that I created when I was 'just playing'. But... (and there's always a but!) I had never uploaded it because I felt the background color was too pale - there just was not enough contrast between the image and background even though I had outlined the image. So today, I decided to see if I could fix it. Originally, the background was done with watercolor crayons and aqua painter. Today I pulled out my Koh-i-noor color pencils and just added some scribbling across each color. And then, not knowing what would happen, I brushed across the colors with my aqua painter. I was surprised to discover that the water actually worked with the color pencils and did, in fact, darken the background. *big grin* So with a 5 minute fix, I had a card.
