This is my card for today's Technique Challenge - to use the Faux Mosaic technique in our design.
I had never done this before so I wanted to give it a try. Kathy's instructions were easy to follow and it would have taken me no time at all to complete if I hadn't disrupted all the little pieces after I cut them and had to put the whole thing back together again like a puzzle! LOL!
Anyway, I cut a piece of origami paper into random pieces and adhered them to a piece of CS with a sheet of Red Liner Tape. I added Gold embossing powder to the spaces between the pieces and heat embossed. Other than the mosaic background, I just stamped the Asian sentiment onto marbled CS and embossed with Gold EP and popped it up on foam tape. Added some gold brads to the corners and that was it since I didn't want to cover up the mosaic background.
Thanks, Lynn and Kathy, for sharing this fun new technique and TFL!
