This is for Jeanne's Limited Supply challenge to use mostly blue for any holiday in our projects today. We were limited to using only one embellishment (ribbon in my case), but could use as many paper embellishments as we liked.
I am TOTALLY in LOVE with this adorable Penny Black snowman!!! And my friend, Cindy (aka YLM), being the highly perceptive person she is, obviously picked up on that when I went nuts over the cards she was making with him because she sent me a few stamped images of him in this curvy Nestability shape, as well as the brocade blue Nestability matting! Thank you so much, Cindy!
I had a lot of fun coloring his hat and scarf with my Light Grayish Cobalt Copic marker and then drew the lines and dots on them with my SU black marker. I applied Puffy 3-D Glue to his hat fur and ball, added a dash of Cosmo blue glitter, and heat set.
For the background, I used my brayer to roll Brocade Blue ink onto my Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder before embossing my white cs. I did this on a card of mine a few days ago and just loved the effect of it. I pressed my glue pad around the outer edges and sprinkled some dazzling diamonds on this panel. This is so sparkly IRL.
The dimpled corners are a gift from another generous friend of mine, Joanne (aka JoJot), who recently sent me a little package of goodies (including a chocolate penguin---yum!!!) which included this Marvy punch. Thanks, JoJo!!!
So, I aptly called this card The Blessings of Friendship. I have met so many wonderful women on SCS, many of whom have become good friends, and I am thankful for those friendships.
Thanks, again, Cindy and Joanne! Love you guys!
