This is my card for today's sketch challenge.
And for Cindy's teapot challenge - http://mothermark.blogspot.com/2008/...uesday-21.html.
We're not big into pumpkins over here, so I've never bothered with a pumpkin stamp. I made this one with a 1 1/2 inch circle punch and the small oval punch. I used a half inch green circle just to fill in at the base, and a large daisy punch trimmed down for the top. The swirls are a little punch I got to use for tails for monkeys .
I measured my base card in inches and quailed at the maths involved. Then I measured it in centimetres and it was 12x12 - problem solved.
The base is dark petrol blue, embossed with Swiss Dots (guess what I collected from the post office on the way home from work today!). The squash yellow strips were embossed with D'vine Swirl, and had the outside edges sponged with orange. I cut 3 cm squares in orange and blue, and sponged the edges of the orange ones. The blue ones I trimmed down a tiny bit, punched out the leaves, embossed and sponged the edges with dark blue. I used the same green card that I used on the pumpkin, covered it with some Diamond Stickles and stuck on some more swirly monkeys tails and the blue squares.
And that was it, really. I do send a Thanksgiving card to my half-sis in MA, so this had better go in the post tomorrow.
Thanks Roxie and Cindy.
