Hi! This card was made for today's Technique Lovers Challenge: Batik, the Color Wash Way.
Speedy the Cat knows that I'm really sick. He has been very kind to me since Friday....However, this morning he had enough and woke me up by sitting on my HEAD! When he knew I was awake, he dropped this Christmas set on my face! LOL!
So, I decided to go with his suggestion!
To create the background I stamped the candycane image in VersaMark and embossed it with Clear. (This was done on Watercolor paper.)Next, I sprayed Small amounts of water with Riding Hood Red re-inker drops onto half of the embossed areas. Then, I finished the other half by spraying Apricot Appeal/water. Next, I heat set it by putting copy paper on the ironing board then the embossed watercolor paper, then another piece of copy paper. I then pressed a HOT iron onto the "paper Sandwich" to batik it.
The image is colored with SU! markers and the hat fur was made with Liquid Applique. Branch is from my Snowman Stick Tree. Leaves were punched with MS punch from Walmart.

I guess I must be a big baby, but if I were sick, I'd be watching TV, sipping tea, and not making cards. You poor thing. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Your card is beautiful--no hint of fatigue or illness in that creation. Great job as always.
