Hi! This card was made for today's Color Combination Challenge: Monochromatic...
I made this card for my niece. She's 12, and had her first "Goofy, OMGosh, CRAZY day" with ME! We acted like, well, 12 year olds! We played dress-up with my gowns, and big jewels, and she wore my tiara the ENTIRE day, even shopping! LOL! I threatened to take pictures, so the inside of the card says, "Those Photos did NOT turn out!"
Since Speedy the Cat spent the night prowling around my stampin' room, dumping primas and designer paper boxes, I decided to use these colors, since they were closest to my stampin' table!
I stamped the image on two different designer papers and once on the white base. I cut out and layered the papers onto the base with dimensionals.
I sponged the sides and added dots to all the layers with a Rose Red Marker/Inkssentials pen. The Prima is made up of 3 pink flowers and a small white flower. They are held together with a Rhinestone brad. Since I don't have any PINK Prima leaves, I added some punches from Martha Stewart's "BRANCH" punch, found at WalMart.
Darlin card...sounds like you and your niece had a fun filled day. Speedy selected a wonderful assortment of colors for this monochromatic challenge ;)

This is too cute. I think my cat and your cat played in my stamp room last night!
The birthday sounds awesome - Ahhhh, the days when you could wear a tiara all day - It's just not fair that we can't do that anymore!
Lovely card and thanks for sharing the great story.
