Hi! This card was made for today's Color Combination Challenge: Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip, and Riding Hood Red.
Markie and I make cupcakes often. Speedy the Cat supervises! He has a stool that he sits upon while he regally gazes upon us as we toil in the kitchen! Then, when the cupcakes are all finished and iced, he and Markie sit at the kitchen island and eat their cupcakes! Well....they lick off the icing...Then I eat the cake! LOL!
So, when I saw the challenge colors I KNEW I was using this image! I stamped the image onto watercolor paper with Noir Black Palette Hybrid ink and colored in the face, legs and arms with a Chocolate Chip marker. Next, I used an aqua painter to dilute the color and blotted it with a paper towel. I repeated this several times until I got the effect I wanted. Next, I used Pink Pirouette re-inker/aqua painter to color in the flame, icing, ears, tail and belly. I finished by using Riding Hood Red/aqua painter to color in the candle, nose and cupcake cup.
The prima was WHITE when I started. I "painted" it with Pink Pirouette re-inker and aqua painter. I wanted a more intense center, so I used a DROP of re-inker in the center and used a heat tool to dry it! That's the "weird" look on the flower!
I used a Signo Pen for the sprinkles, candle and tail.
