This is my first watercolor card (that I am posting). BeckyTE and I were playing on Friday and decided to try our hands at watercoloring - and did we have fun! We were actually laughing at the first two attempts, which will never see the light of day - hehe! And we got to the point of hoping to "channel" Sallie (hobbydujour), who does the most amazing watercoloring. Sorry, Sallie, but clearly the connection was not good. But what fun we had playing together, right, Becky? (Are you going to post your card?)
This card started out as one for yesterday's Inspiration Challenge that Audrie gave us using a Pinterest board (such fun!). Here's the image that inspired me. Thank you, Audrie, for another wonderful Inspiration Challenge! But then today's Featured Stamper is our dear friend, Francie. What a great choice, Julie! I found this card that she did for HYCCT with a hydrangea, and it has a special meaning with the sentiment since we both lost our moms. I used a hydrangea and instead of sponging I used a gold pen for the edge. Congratulations, Francie, for being this week's Featured Stamper. Enjoy your week, sweet friend!
Thanks for taking a closer look, and I hope you like it (remember, it's my first time watercoloring!). Have a great week, and I hope to post something later on my blog for this card (going to go swimming now).

Wow! Cheryl, I came over to look at your flowers in your gallery and you sure do have some beauties! When I read that this was your first attempt at watercoloring, I could hardly believe it. It is just like the real thing, maybe even better!
