Hi! This card was made for today's Technique Lover's Challenge: Suspension Cards.
I should have known! This morning, when I went to check the Bath Mat for Speedy's "Helpful HINT," I found this Peony stamp and a roll of TWINE! I kept thinking, okay....Speedy's missed on this challenge. Poor dear, he's losing his physic powers...But, NO!!! I checked the challenge, and I NEEDED the twine! I swear, I have goose bumps right now!
I stamped the Peony 6 times in Versa Mark and embossed all the images in Detail Gold. I colored the images with Twinkling H2O's! Wow! What a DREAM to work with! No smearing like watercolors! (No blotching like markers!) I LOVE these!!!
To color, I added a BIT of water to the H2O pots. I used 3 colors, a red, an orange and a gold. I painted the ENTIRE thing in gold first. Next, I added a layer of orange to the edges. To finish I added red to highlight. (I used 2 greens for the leaves)
Next, I cut out all the flowers, one layer per flower. I used only 5 of the flowers, and the leaves of the sixth. I rimmed the backside of all the flowers with the red. I curled the petals with a bone folder.
The suspension circle was done by punching different sized holes in the card stock. The sentiment is hanging by twine.
And, Laurence the Ladybug sneaked in at the last moment! (I colored him with the red Twinkling H2O's!)
All images, Basic Grey paper, ribbon, Noir Black Palette Ink, (used for sentiment and ladybug), Spellbinder's Nestibilities, and Twinkling H2O's can be found here: www.Flourishes.org

Fabulous work, Faith!! Your ladybug looks wonderful with that gorgeous flower! Gee, I'm going to have to try to talk my DH into getting a cat. I'll tell him that I need one, my crafting ability depends on it, LOL!!
