Hi! This card was made for today's Color Combination Challenge: Groovy Guava, Blush Blossom and Basic Gray.
Poor Billie the Sweet Birdie needs a bath! She went to the birdbath to clean up after alluding Speedy the Cat and, OH NO!!! The birdbath was dry! She could hear Speedy the Cat snickering in the bushes! That darn cat!!!
I have had these Flourishes Stamp Sets for a while and decided today was the day to use them! Speedy the Cat spent several minutes inspecting the stamps as I removed them from the packaging. They met with his approval! LOL!
Billie, the Sweet Birdie is from Flourishes' Love Nest. I stamped the image on Whisper White and on the designer paper. (I cut out the wing of the designer paper and layered it!)I used a blender pen, pressed it into the Groovy Guava pad and then outlined the head and the body. I colored in the head with the blender pen, and used the Blush Bloosom marker for the body.
The birdbath is actually from Flourishes' Cake Decorating 101! It is a base, the platform and a swirl. Each piece is layered. It was stamped in Basic Black and then colored in with an Aqua Painter pressed onto a Basic Gray pad.
The sentiment is from Flourishes' Flourished Words. It is mounted on TOP of the new SU! HodgePodge Hardware. I outlined the ridge and the edge of the hardware with a black Sharpie.
The scallop was made with the Marvy Mega punch. The oval was made with the Coluzzle.

"That reminds me of a story..." Faith you are as creative with words as you are at putting those little stories into stunning visuals. At least Billie managed to keep his blushing color and not be "blue" after all his FOWL luck.

Well Faith, I think this looks pretty comfortable to me. heehee
WOW! You are on fire with this one. Love the DP's, the layout, the images "birdie and concrete bird bath, the bird bath looks like real concrete, the scalloped on the plain oval is perfect, the amazing Faith dots, the hardware with sentiment, the brads and last but not least the stunning coloring work that you do on all your cards. You nailed this one my friend.
