For today's Color Challenge, CC159. I knew I wanted to use this image of the dragonfly with the Cuttlebug background. I stamped the image in Basic Gray, then applied a very light Sky Blue color wash over the wings and the background. The body of the dragonfly was then colored with a light gray Copic Marker. As I sat and looked at the wings, I couldnÂ’t help myself but to reach for the Frosted Lace Stickles and paint a thin coat on both wings. The background is made with the Styled Flower Embossing Folder, that I misted with Shimmer Mist made with Perfect Pearls and Soft Sky reinker.

WOW! Sometimes the simpler the layout the more elegant the look.... and this is the case here. While it's not a simple card... the siimplicity of the layout lets all the sparkle of the image and shimmer of the bg really tell the story. I love this look and into my favs this one is going!
