Today I had the very sad task of making another sympathy card. One of my new friends from CTCA lost her husband to cancer last week. This never gets any easier.
This is for 2 challenges, SC157, and WT147, to use flowers. The main image panel started with a pale background of Pearl-Ex and Lumiere, (Luminous Pearls tech.) overstamped and embossed with the flowers from Oriental Paintings. I then watercolored the design, and finished the panel with the Cracked Glass technique.
The sentiment panel is embossed with my own mixture of Black and Galaxy Gold EPs. I like the soft, burnished gold-black look this produces. It reads, *May the beautiful memories that fill your heart help to bring you comfort.* I've used a variety of decorative papers, and finally, sponged the same Lumiere mixture onto the brown panel. Everything is popped up on foam tape, for extra dimension.
Thanks for looking!
Happy New Year to All,
Maddy

Love your use of Pearl Ex and embossing powders. Very nice card. I always just end up with a mess when I try to use Pearl Ex, and love seeing something that is very successful. Pretty!
