Hi! This card was made for today's Limited Supply Challenge: With Sympathy.
This challenge was to use flowers, one background, one sentiment, and any card stock. We were to limited ourselves on our use of embellishments. I used NO: HPH, brads, punches, rhinestone brads, etc. I had only 8 layers of card stock. (Yesterday's card had 18 layers. That's 10 fewer!) I had just one ribbon in a simple knot.
There is no joy in having a loved one pass away. As a caregiver, cancer patient, grandchild, daughter-in-law, cousin, friend, ex-wife and, worst of all...mother, I can tell you, it is the worst thing I have ever had to endure.
I can, however, tell you that the cards and letters that I received WEEKS after the funeral are the ones that I still cherish most. It means that the sender "Remembered" my grandfather, FIL, my cousin, my friend, my ex-husband, or my daughter long after the funeral. (I'm sitting at my computer crying...)
So, this card will be sent to my uncle, whose wife passed away over a month ago. I know that he thinks of her all the time and feels so much sorrow.

What a beautiful card. I completely agree with what you said about remembering months after the funerals. I, too, have been involved with too many family funerals and the cards means so much during such a difficult time. God bless.

Faith, your card is absolutely stunning. It will be treasured by the family that receives it. Your dimensional flowers, ribbon and color combo make for a really elegant effect. TFS
