Hi! This card is for today's Limited Supply Challenge: Oldies, But Goodies.
We were to make a card using:
an old Sketch Challenge: SC128
an old Color Combo Challenge: CC115-Vintage Violet, Old Olive and Certainly Celery
2 embellishments: Rhinestone Brads, HPH
any tools: punches, crimper
Any stamps that hadn't seen in a while
So, I dragged out On the Spot and Paisley! Those babies haven't seen ink in LOOOOONG time. I also chose Doodle This. It used to be my favorite, but it has not seen ink in a while, either!
I stamped the flower on Very Vanilla three times and used re-inker (Vintage Violet) to color in the petals. I achieved the different colors by adding different amounts of water to the re-inker.
I stamped Paisely with Vintage Violet on to VV paper. Next, I stamped the DP with Old Olive. I used the Signo Pen to highlight the petals.
The sentiment came from Tres Chic.
I'm sending this to my sister, who is a teacher, and her son is having a HORRIBLE first week of school, poor thing. My sister is really worried about him. On the inside I printed, "...is who you count on, when even your "friends" won't clean up your vomit!" (I'm pretty hyper right now, and laughed so loud I woke up the dog!) I'm kinda the "weird sister" in this relationship...LOL!

Faith, you have created another stunner!!! I love the way you did the flower with the different tints of color and your choice of BG stamps are perfect.

The textures, the bling and colors make this one terrific card.
