I've been wanting to do this type of window opening since I first covered a slide mount, and was finally spurred into action by labullard's card in the DDG (thanks, Linda!)
I punched a 1 3/8" window in the card front after gluing down the wheeled layer. Then I punched the same size window in Cranberry, cut the sides down to 5/8" and glued it like a frame over the first window. I glued a Flannel lining on the inside front of the card (looks neat inside, too), then from the front of the card I cut an "X" through the window into the Flannel lining. I folded the flaps to the front, cut off the tips of the triangles, added the linen thread stitches and glued the flaps down with glue dots. The inside left of the card is lined with Linen and I stamped the acorn and "Love Ya" through the window.
I thought Fall Whimsey and Love Ya Bunches were kind of a fun combination and the sentiment made me think of some of the things that Thanksgiving reminds me I'm grateful for.

I've got to get out more! I'm so ticked off that I didn't see this sooner! What a wonderful take on this kind of window card. Great look with those points trimmed off. So clever and so nice of you to explain it so well. Wonderful combination of stamps. Love those little linen thread x's and that cut out leaf. This is all so adorable and charming. TFS. Linda
