This is my sample for CC650. I am your hostess this week and I have chosen tranquil tide crumb cake, soft suede and very vanilla as the color palette. Desert Option on this palette is ribbon or twine.
I decided to try and come up with a Christmas card with these colors. Yay! I was successful.
I used the CottageCutz Christmas Eve die and cut in very vanilla cardstock. Layered that over Stampin'-Up tranquil tide dsp from the delightful daisy collection. It reminded me of a nighttime sky.
I paper pieced the deer with soft suede cardstock. They are part of the die. I tried sponging but it was just a bit too light so I used cardstock.
For the moon I wanted some definition, so I inlaid silver (neutral) cardstock. I created a snowbank and added chunky glitter.
To finish off the card, I stamped my sentiment and added a linen thread bow to the lamppost.
Hope you can play along as we close out our August in-color month. I have 2 different color combos for you this week.

Hello Mary........Thank you so much for leaving that nice comment on my CC680 Cup of Tea and Roses card. That means so much to me that you would take the time.
Now, I need to tell you what I thought about this beautiful card of yours. Normally, I am a flower girl who goes straight for flower cards in other people's galleries until I spotted this very nice Christmas card. You definitely put a lot of time and thought into this card and it shows. The gorgeous color combinations, a beautiful scene made out of dies, sponging, chunky glitter....WOW! I also noticed that you make Christmas cards all year long. How smart are you??? I'm impressed.
Happy stamping Mary!
