Sweet friends, I usually try to be up beat to make everyone smile, however, my heart is broken. My 2 sons and I held our Sweet Dolly the insomniac dog as she peacefully passed away last night. Fot the past 16 yeard, Dolly was our constant companion and the only family member that was always happy. I knew it would be hard to loose her, but I still was not prepared for how heart breaking it would be. We were in our yard and she did not suffer. Just minutes before she died, a beautiful humming bird fluttered for several minutes drinking from a flowering plant near where we were sitting on the grass. I made this altered book last week for the F4A challenge not knowing that we would loose Dolly. I had planned to make an elegant CAS card and was trying to channel my inner Anne Ryan and Karen Dunbrook. When my mind ran in the other direction, I was a little mad. I also did not know what I was going to do with it. Now it will remind me of my best friend and the hummingbird that led her to heaven. I hope she is in a beautiful place like this. TFL, Francie

Oh Francie, my heart goes out to you and your family. Grief is the price we pay for love. I am hoping time will heal your heart and allow you to find smiles to replace the tears. We have a 13 year old lab that each morning we wonder if he will be alive or has will pass during the night. I know what it is like to love and loose. I'll take the knowing the love. With time I hope you can look at your beautiful page or see a hummingbird in real life and in that moment a smile comes to your face because someone is thinking of you.

Francie I am so sorry to hear that, I am pretty sure Dolly is in a better place now, I know how you feel and the hummingbird fluttering around is amazing, I used to think ( when I was a kid ) hummingbirds were magical creatures, maybe they are afterall 😊, your card is soooo gorgeous, thanks for commenting on mine very sweet if you.
