Today's WT challenge is to theme our cards to our favorite season.
Hands down, mine is spring when everything is fresh and new. I went a step further and depicted my favorite place to go in the spring.....Missouri Botanical Garden's Japanese Garden, Seiwa-en. It is glorious with blooming cherry trees, plum trees, azaleas, and peonies...all against that "new-growth green"....and reflected on the water of the lake. Tried to capture it in my watercolor.

Added note: I can see where the die cuts can be interpreted as "vines"......although I was trying to give the feeling of weeping willow branches that are on one side of the lake and frame one's view. Guess I wasn't too successful. : )

Beautiful watercolor, Sallie. It reminds me of one of the areas within Magnolia Plantation and Gardens in Charleston, S.C. The die-cuts add a wonderful dimension to this piece as well.
