Lydia posted a gorgeous no line watercolor card last week and was sweet enough to link to a tutorial on her blog. In my usual state of having more to do than time to do it in, I had to choose... watch the video and hope to find the time to make the card, or plunge head first into the unknown with my brush and watercolors. By the abundance of black outlines on this card, it is obvious that I chose the second plan. I am going to watch the video this weekend. I had to stop applying watercolors when I came very close to painting a hole in the watercolor paper. At this point there were no lines, but there was nothing resembling flowers either. I ended up drawing the flowers and leaves with my black pen. I violated another sacred rule of watercolors when I doodled highlights with my white gel pen. I came very close to following the rules on the CC530 - the flowers are strawberryish and cantaloupeish, and the leaves are close to pistachio and coastal cabana... just pretend not to see the lavender. I think I am at least in the ball park for the SC539, and I definitely got the WT531 to use flowers. TFL, Francie
