Here is my card for the 'From the Kitchen' challenge. I used the salted bkg. technique with Sea Salt. I find that works better then regular salt as it is a bit more coarse and lifts more colour off the paper.
I masked my card front, painted on Distress inks, sprinkled on salt and let dry. I removed the mask and stamped.

Hi Karen, I loved your card. I am a new stamper and just purchased my Agapanthus stamp set(still in transit and waiting impatiently for it to be delivered!). I would love to try and make a card like yours if its ok..
