WooHoo I am not sure if i should be in the kitchen or at my craft desk. This is for Sabrina's fun "Ways to Use it" challenge....things from the kitchen.
I made the modeling paste by mixing half a cup of baking soda, with 2 tablespoons of school glue and 2 tablespoons of white acrylic paint.
To make it really kitcheny, I added rock salt and ground black pepper to some rusty coloured acrylic paint, followed by a very good dash of Worcestershire sauce (to darken the colour). After I painted the background with the gritty paint, I dabbed it with a textured paper towel.
Once the background was dry I stencilled on the kitchen-made modeling paste. While that was drying I fussy cut the steampunk lady from a sheet of Grapic45 dp, blackened her hat with Wink of Stell brush and dabbed some pink distress ink on her cheeks.
I used a measuring cup to trace around the outer edge to make hand rolled flowers - approx 3" diametre, cut around and around like peeling an apple.
Add fence, die, words...job done. To give it a real kitchen feel I photographed it on some paper that looks like a marble chopping board.
The fence, bike and wings extend past the edge of the card, but this isn't going anywhere....sniffer dogs at the post office would have a field day.
Thank you for looking, I had heaps of fun making this.

Oh, Susie!! I agree with the other gals - you are Queen of the Kitchen - LOL! And how amazing that you really "spiced" it up with Worcestershire sauce!! How hilarious, but it sure works to darken it! How fun to read your "recipe" and see all the ingredients to make this amazing card! I love it all!! Hugs, sweet sis! You've done it again!!!
