Denise's CAS challenge for today is to use "fabric" on our card. The reason for my title is that this silk fabric carries memories since it came from my late mother's stash of fabrics. When I was a teen, she could make any formal or dress for me from a picture that I found. When I was clearing out her home after her death, I thought this was such a beautiful "modern" fabric...it is so richly printed that there really isn't a wrong side. Poppies are the flowers that signify "remembrance", so I thought it was apropos to use this new Technique Tuesday image.
Denise, thank you for asking me to be the first Guest Designer for this fall season.

My mom sewed up a storm too. Too bad she didn't pass that on to me!! Your card is amazing and I love that fabric as the b/g for your beautiful flowers.
I did a sentimental fabric card also and knew as soon as I saw the challenge what I wanted to do. It was hard going down memory lane. Hugs~

Sallie, how can you ever part with this precious card? What beautiful memories it brings forth! I love that fabric....I had something similar when I was young, but don't have it anymore. Isn't it true, whatever is old will become new again! I love the poppies you superimposed on the fabric too. Just perfect!
