Okay Vicki, so tempting turquoise is one of my fears in life......makes my lips freeze.....and poppy parade.....I love it when I use it but I must admit I have sorta shyed away from IT, too. However, I thought long and hard on this one, decided I could maximize the poppy and minimize the turquoise, which I just used as a highlight around my flowers, and dang, I like this card! So thanks for taking me out of my comfort zone my brilliant colors friend, and helping me over come my fears!! ;) I have also taken a week or so off here as I baby sat the weekend for my sweet GD Olivia Lou, 16 months old. At the end of the weekend after we had safely returned her to her mommy and daddy, I was out prone on the couch.....feeling extremely blue cuz it was over and I missed her already, but also kinda paralyzed with exhaustion and a whole new appreciation for what young mama's go thru! Phew! That little peanut kept me HOPPIN!! Good to be back to stamping.....this one's for Olivia Lou! ;)
PS, I haven't been to a tea party in FOREVER, so when I saw that the criteria today is to decorate the inside of that sad blue boat I thought YES, I will bring my pretty flowers to decorate the inside of the ugly boat!! I think these will be BEAUTIFUL with daisies!! They will see that boat a comin'!! ((Lou thinks too that those soft daisies need some shakin' UP!)
