Hi! This card was made for three Challenges today. It was made for today's Color Combo: Dark Red, Pink and Dark Brown; yesterday's Technique Lovers Challenge-Silhouette Plaid, and Speedy's Friends Challenge Thank you Card.
This bird is a silhouette with the flowers as "spaces." I inked the bird in Toile Pink Palette Ink and then used the EDGE of the Adirondack Espresso and Distress Ink's Barn Door to create the cross hatches of the plaid.
The flowers were colored in with Memento Markers. I cut out the bird and then went around the edge with a Memento Marker (brown) to "finish" it. I added dots to the edge and the edges of the panels.
The background was run through a Tim Holtz Embossing Folder. I rubbed an Espresso pad over the embossed areas.
Now for the Tea Pot Story:
I know that the bloomers on this little bird are small, but the flowers pack a punch! And just think, we could add that punch to the tea! What a wonderful party that would be! And, did you notice? Speedy the Cat is creeping in for a sip!
Finished card size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Total time to complete: 41 minutes. (Speedy the Cat ran off with the ribbon 3 different times and I had to hunt him down...)

These rich colors and your creativity make a beautiful card!
I don't have the cat problem, but if my bird gets near the papers, he makes a good shredder.
