This is my entry for the MFT GDT for March. What a great challenge-to use text/sheet music paper on your design. I ended up using both. This card is so appropriate for this time of the year. Two friends are finally able to dine at the favorite outside cafe (because the snow has FINALLY melted). Live music is playing in the background. The flowers are beginning to bud - and one girl dresses a little safer- still in some warmer winter clothes, but the other girl is so GLAD spring is beginning to show, she has to wear a sundress! That is so like something I would do.
Anyhow, here are the deets for my card. I printed vintage sheet music onto cream cardstock, then printed Meet Me at the Cafe over that. I printed another copy of my digi onto Gina K. white CS, and colored with copics, and then cut out my image and glued it to the background piece. I paper pieced the plaid shirt and highlighted the shadows of it with copics. I stamped a branch on linen SEI paper, and added French knots, then made a flower from pages of an old book using Spellbinders blossom die, and spritzing it with Tattered Angels. My burgandy paper is SEI velvet paper, run through with a cuttlebug folder. I punched the scallop border, added some machine stitching in gold thread and added a bunch of pop dots. I really love how this card turned out.
