Thanks so much, Betty! I could hardly wait for the Olympic Color Challenge to be posted. I hope everyone has fun with it!
If you've watched even a little of the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, you've probably seen the graphic designs all over the place. They are so colorful and seemed to jump off the screen at me. I, of course, thought...hey, I can make a card from that!
I'll be in Event 3...choosing 3 colors from the Olympic Icon 'Dude'. For the dessert option, I added silver. Hey silver isn't bad...I'm so proud of the USA Ice Dancing pair that won silver Monday night!
I used a brayer and masking to make each level. The main tree and sentiment are embossed in white. Although it's way out of my comfort league (a white based card?!), it reminds me of the winter Olympics that I love so much.
Go USA!
Another big THANK YOU to Betty...you're AWESOME!!!
TFL!

Wow wow wow!!! Oh, this is a stunning card!! And you did all that masking! I thought at first they were all torn layers. I love the white tree. I have been hooked on watching the olympics, and your card definately has the feel of beautiful Vancouver!

awesome technique...I am brayer challenged, lol, so I really enjoy others' work who don't suffer from that disability. The green ribbon is just fab and the touch if silver is perfect. Love the card!
