Congrats to Karen, the Featured Stamper today! What a wonderful gallery she has. I picked her A Dash of Pixie Pink to case because I liked the colors and floral theme. I kept the soft color combo, floral theme and horizontal layout, but I changed it from Easter to Valentine's Day, added some texture w/ a bugged bg and added a few more layers.
I'm also using a new release from Innovative Stamp Creations . I stamped the worded scallop, the central heart flower and the frame and cut them out. On the frame, after inking it w/ soft pink, I used markers on the flourish heart and over stamped it onto the frame. The soft yellow stripe dp was die cut using the inside portion of the fleur de lis die, which I cut out 4 times and arranged as shown. I used some of the punch outs to accent my heart flower.
The first corner folded layer is some leftover Cuttlebug resist paper from TLC219 I made using the same Cuttlebug embossing folder I used on the final pink layer. After embossing the wax paper with it, I ironed it onto the white c/s then sponged on the pinks and soft yellow inks. I did it on both sides and you can see from the folded corners that the back has much more yellow than the front. The next folded layer is the yellow stripe dp, backside up.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

Ohhh, this is so pretty! I keep forgetting to turn down the corners of my papers once in awhile. Such a simple way to step up a card. Thanks for your comment in my gallery. I love the Texas wildflowers, especially the Indian Blankets.
