Hi there,
Here is my card for the CAS challenge which was to find inspiration from the Disney Store site. Here was the t-shirt that inspired me: http://www.disneystore.com/outerwear...1239769/11864/
The Story.....
I have had this Mickey stamp ever since my mom passed away 3 yrs. ago. Her given name was Catherine but when she was a little girl her uncle came to visit and took her to see her first movie at the theatre..such a treat as their family was pretty poor. After the movie all my mom talked about was 'Mickey' so they affectionately gave her the nickname, Mickey.
Well, that nickname stuck for the rest of her life. Now my mom was not a stamper but bought this, one day when she was with me. She would sign then stamp this Mickey on stationary.
She was such an inspiration, my mom and my best friend. I am missing her desperately right now....So when I saw the challenge I thought it was time to finally use that stamp...it is cute too!
I punched a 2 inch circle then half inch circles for the ears to make a mask. Sponged the ear shape, added Mickey and the sentiment.
Thanks for reading my story, hope you like it and don't forget to hug your mom.
Karen

What a wonderful card made in memory of your Mum, I'm so glad you were able to share it with us. I lost my Mum many years ago sadly, but I've given my daughter an extra special hug instead!

I have a stamp that belonged to my youngest sister who was killed in a car accident 1 1/2 yrs. ago. Everytime I've used that stamp (a basket of flowers), I've felt my sisters' love. I love how you masked the background! Great job--TFS! BTW--I'm sure your Mom loves it, too!!
