Hi! This card was made for todayÂ’s Sketch Challenge.
I wanted to use a page from a book that for my background/designer paper. (The book was damaged beyond repair, and bought from a garage sale for 10 cents. I have to admit, I bought this book for the pictures. I thought theyÂ’d make great background paper!) And, this was the least expensive designer paper I've ever used!
I stamped the image in Espresso and embossed in Clear. I sponged in the leaves with Palette Inks, as they are permanent on glossy surfaces.
The sentiment was stamped in Espresso and hand cut. The embossed background was made with a SpellbinderÂ’s Impressabilities.

How absolutely incredible is this. WOW!!
I love the tree and surrounding scenery,
it's so FANTASTICAL!!
Great bg embossing and the middle layer looks like a brook running thru a meadow.

I love that flourish-y touch of the ribbon and the fact that you made this with a "green mind". I forget to think outside of the box when I'm looking for background paper. Old books with pictures in them are a fabulous idea!
