I'm availing of Cindy's sneak preview for the teaparty tomorrow, as seen on HER BLOG last week. It's also the moon, from her current challenge on the CCEE Challenges.
I don't have one single lighthouse stamp.
This template came from Circle of Crafters.
Plan A was to put the scripture verse *Your Word is a lamp unto my feet* on it.
DH says plan A, while not criminal, would be a shame. A big shame. And he wants to send this card to a friend, so plan A bit the dust. To be honest, I don't know where I'd have put it, except to cover the ground under the lighthouse, which I am not very happy with.
A2 dark navy base. The main panel was white card, cut out the lighthouse, masked the sun and sponged the background - Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Faded Jeans and Weathered Wood. Masked the background and sponged the moon - Antique Linen. Did the iris folding with foil papers. Edged the panel with gold, and added lightbeams coming from the lighthouse.
Where I grew up, if I climbed to the top of the big pine tree outside my window, I could see at least 3 lighthouses. And my brother had the coolest lighthouse bedside locker that my dad made. The bottom was big enough to be a dolls house for us to play with, two floors, with a door that hinged out. Then there was a smaller level with two more floors, again with a door. Then there was a little cage at the top with the light in it. I can't believe my brother let it go the first time they moved house! FOr dolls house, please read teddy bears - for both my brother and me .
