I have the most beautiful lilies blooming in my garden right now. In the morning, I sit and enjoy them in the quiet solitude. Today was a rare dewy morn and the sun shone on the petals of the lilies, producing a magnificant sheen! I tried to duplicate that rare moment using today's TLC *Got Grid*. Basically the tutorial instructs to create grid lines and stamp over the inverted lines.
This is my recipe: I used my score pal to make 1/2" horizontal and vertical lines. I inked up the SU Twill BG stamp with Barely Banana and stamped onto the same color CS. Then I heavily sponged arount the edges with Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust and Cranberry Crisp. I used Certainly Celery and Always Artichoke SU markers and inked directly onto the leaves of the From the Garden* stamp. Then I stamped the image onto the grid layer. Next I stamped the flower part of the image onto Very Vanilla using Palette Noir Burnt Umber. I sponged the flower with the colors used around the grid base. I used The Essential Glue Pad to apply Iridescent Ice on the entire flower and heat set it. The flower was cut out and adhered to the grid base with foam dimensional tape. The final touches include Swarovski Crystals and MS Piped Nylon Ribbon. The sentiment, located at the stem base says *always*. This card will be used as an anniversary card.
Thanx for taking a look!
