I was so excited that Scrapnextras was featured this week (FS 60), that I could not wait to start on a card. That, and spring break is over tomorrow, and I still have a pile of papers to grade. But, nevermind that foolishness... on to my hobby.
Isn't she great? Her gallery just goes on and on with pictures that are not only well-photographed, but also just AWESOME. I narrowed it down to this little beauty that she did for LSC 130. It looked so wonderfully simple. And really, it was, except the cursing I did at the lack of directions for my Cricut. But again, I digress...
Here is a blurb of what I kept and what I altered, as listed in Laura's description:
1. Choose a stamp that hasn't seen ink for a while: Happy Snoopy (changed from hers)
2. Chose an old sketch: #38 (same as hers)
3. Chose an old color combo: #33 (changed from hers: Chocolate Chip, Blush Blossom, and Certainly Celery; it was cool to browse through the previous combos)
4. 1 or 2 Embellishments: Ribbon (handled the same, but I used Chocolate Chip twill)
5. Any tools: Cricut (Alphalicious) for the scallop, 2"circle punch, and paper trimmer (a bit different)
This card just makes me happy. Maybe I will give it to myself as a back-to-school present.
Thanks for looking. Blush Blossom and Certainly Celery... who knew? More specs on my blog.
